The leaves are falling. The eagles are easier to view due to the loss of foliage. They seem to scamper around in the early hours of the day. It is quite something to observe them sitting high in a tree and taking off to swoop down and capture their prey.
Boating is now limited to folks fishing. The pleasure boating and Sea Doo riders seem to be less and less everyday.
Kathy and I still have Thunder Love and XS along side the dock. Our neighbors more and more are pulling their crafts from the water.
Our Sea Doo's are stored away. The next time Billy, Fred and Orrin ride will be May 2005. It is a process owning PWC's. Getting them repaired from the season use, winterizing them before storage, finding the right storage for safety and security takes time. Kathy and I have received an education owning PWC's.
We rely on Steve and Joe to pull the boats and get them to heated storage. The boats have a list of items to be repaired, fixed and looked at. The local dealer is eager to assist us get all items done so all will be ready for next May.
The entire area population drops significantly. The local business people see a huge drop in revenues. Yet it is still a busy time. Many are already Dreaming for Season 2005.
